Fashion Preview #7 – MUSE by Christian Chenail Fall-Winter 2018 Runway Show

The MUSE by Christian Chenail Fall-Winter 2017-2018 collection was presented during the second evening of Fashion Preview #7. With influences from Gianfranco Ferre designs, the new collection follows a uniform look, a sort of very feminine military idea. Chrstian Chenail’s design vision stems from his background in architecture. His outfits are a celebration of femininity, “built” for the female body, and designed to flatter shapes and beautify. Women of all ages come to Christian Chenail’s store to feel more beautiful and empowered, and it is with this vision in mind that Christian included in his show (and wants to keep doing so in the future) women of all ages, from 16 years of age to 45+ (an initiative which we applaud).

Christian Chenail is a Montreal designer with a long history in fashion. After having studied architecture, he returned to school, at LaSalle College to study fashion design, and, in 1989 he launched the MUSE label and his first collection. Over the years he continued to grow his brand, opening two stores and receiving several grants and the Griffe d’Or prise, all of this while continuing to stay true to his aesthetics.

To get inspired for the current spring-summer season, we invite you to have a look at Christian Chenail’s show at Fashion Preview #6.
